Our Vision

With the belief that equity in sports is a direct reflection of equity in society, and that participation in sport has a profound positive impact on youth development and community health, our vision is for everyone to have equitable access and encouragement to play sports, with a particular emphasis on soccer.

Mission

TMOP Will use soccer as a vehicle to address societal inequities by increasing access to the sport, as well as collaborating with other organizations and communities to provide opportunities that are rooted in sport but that go beyond sports

Values

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: TMOP welcomes and values people of all backgrounds, including race, ethnicity, religion, gender (does this adequately include nonbinary people?), sexual orientation, age and ability (am I missing anything). TMOP seeks to give everyone a seat at the table by building strong community connections, a diverse Board of Directors and advisors. 

Anti Racist: TMOP understands the need to move from being passively not racist, to actively being anti racist.

Community Collaboration: TMOP understands that our role is not to tell individuals, communities and organizations what they need. Our role is to listen first, and collaborate with individuals, communities and organizations to find solutions that work for them. 

Implicit Bias: TMOP acknowledges that implicit bias exists, and when implicit bias is pointed out to TMOP board members, we will listen, and work to do better.
